Purves Philatelics - Company Information
Purves Philatelics is a relatively new business (formed in January 2001) but one that is backed by years of philatelic knowledge and experience.
Duncan Purves, a Chartered Accountant by profession, has collected Commonwealth stamps for the last 35 years, specialising initially in the reign of King George VI but, more latterly, embracing all reigns to early QE II.
He and his long suffering wife Chris(tine) made their first foray into the trade in 1990 when they launched C P Postal Auctions which was followed some years later by Kentish Postal Auctions.
Increasing pressure of work forced the sale of the two auction businesses in 1999 but the stamps won in the end and Duncan was persuaded by Chris to make a life changing decision early in 2001.
Our aim has always been to create a stamp business with a difference. One where service and quality matter. Where you can order in total confidence knowing that your order will be dealt with promptly and that the condition of the material that you receive can be relied upon.
